Vision & Team

The visionary team responsible for bringing Carolina Cove to life has been involved with some of the earliest efforts in green development and construction. Team members include Certified Green Professionals, forest managers, wildlife biologists, engineers and architects, and members of the National Association of Homebuilders Green Building Program- all founding member-participants in the green building standards creation process with the Homebuilders Association of Tennessee, the Johnson City Area Homebuilders Association, and the Northeast Tennessee Green Building Council.

T. C. Lewis & Co. is an ANSI/ICC Certified Green Building Organization. We continue to set the standard in the building industry, while leading the way of new age building and developing where responsibility and innovation come together to create beautiful homes, communities, and commercial space that have the least impact on the environment as possible- traditional neighborhoods with modern, eco-chic amenities and engineering. The look of the homes, communities, and commercial buildings really stays true to the architectural plans, and we can make alter virtually any plan to be green.

There are a lot of folks who are out there saying that they’re building green, but it’s really important that you see if the contractor is certified, and if the community or home has any designations or certifications by green building organizations. Otherwise, you’re probably playing into the hype created by someone who isn’t really knowledgeable in the field. And, he/she is probably guilty of what we call ‘rubbing on the green’ or ‘green washing’ as a sales tactic,” warns Cory Lewis of others using “green” and “energy-efficient” in marketing.
